National Tree Day: how Holson Impianti continues to grow its positive impact

Every year, on 21 November, National Tree Day reminds us of the vital importance of trees in our lives: they absorb CO₂, improve air quality, regulate the climate and offer us a unique heritage of biodiversity. For Holson Impianti, this day is a valuable opportunity to reflect on our journey towards sustainability and share our achievements with transparency. In particular, the comparison between 2024 and 2025 tells a clear story: commitment to the environment generates value, and year after year this value grows.

🌞 Solar energy: increasing and strengthening production

Our photovoltaic system is one of the beating hearts of corporate sustainability.

In 2024, we had already recorded a positive year, with production close to 110 MWh. But in 2025, the figure grew further, reaching 114 MWh of clean energy. This increase may seem modest, but in practice it means greater autonomy, less dependence on the electricity grid and, above all, more CO₂ avoided. Looking at the 2025 energy balance sheet, another important aspect emerges: 61% of the energy we use comes directly from the sun. This result testifies not only to the quality of the system, but also to our desire to push as hard as possible towards intelligent and renewable consumption.

🌍 CO₂ avoided: a result that grows year after year

In addition to energy production, what allows us to measure our environmental impact most effectively is the amount of CO₂ avoided. In 2025, our plant prevented 117,500 kg of CO₂ from being released into the atmosphere. This figure is higher than that recorded in 2024 and confirms that renewable energy is a concrete choice for combating climate change.

To make it even clearer, let's translate this data into something everyone can imagine:🌳3,507 equivalent trees: our growing “forest”.

When it comes to CO₂, the numbers often seem far removed from reality. That's why we use a simple equivalence: how much CO₂ does a tree absorb in a year? Thanks to this calculation, we can say that clean energy production in 2025 had the same positive impact as a forest of 3,507 trees.

In 2024, our “ideal forest” was slightly smaller, with an estimated value of around 3,300 tree equivalents. The 2025 figure is not just a higher number: it is confirmation that our commitment continues to grow, season after season, like a real forest that is expanding.

📦 Not just energy: sustainability also comes from the warehouse

Solar energy production is a key part of our positive impact, but it is not the only one. Every day, our warehouse implements virtuous practices that help reduce waste and improve efficiency:

  • recovery and reuse of technical packaging,

  • reduction of material waste,

  • systematic recycling of paper, cardboard, plastic and industrial components,

  • optimisation of internal flows to limit handling and consumption.

These are everyday actions which, combined with the clean energy produced, build a consistent, environmentally friendly and long-term operating model.

A look into the future....

A comparison between 2024 and 2025 paints a clear picture: Holson Impianti is growing in the right direction. More renewable energy, less CO₂ emissions, greater efficiency and responsible resource management. This growth is not happening overnight, but day by day, like a forest that grows one tree at a time. And on National Tree Day, this message takes on even greater significance: every sustainable choice, even the smallest, can make a difference.
